Selection Procedures

Your selection procedures must be in compliance with all federal, state and local laws.  The various laws apply to all selection procedures and for all employment selection opportunities.  You must comply with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all amendments.  You must also comply with the "Uniform Guidelines of Employee Selection Procedures." 

It is unlawful to discriminate against any protected class in your selection procedures and the selection of any opportunities within your organization. You must ensure that you do not have any disparate treatment or disparate impact in your process of selecting your team. Your procedures and processes must be valid and reliable in accordance with the Uniform Guidelines of Employee Selection Procedures. They prefer that your selection procedures use one of the three following types of validity: Content Validity, Construct Validity or Criterion Related Validity.
